Major Milestone: Laundry Upgrade at Masakhane Provincial Laundry

Lead Laundry and Catering is proud to announce the successful completion of a significant laundry infrastructure upgrade at Masakhane Provincial Laundry — a facility that serves 14 public hospitals and 54 clinics across the greater Pretoria region.

As part of this milestone project, we supplied and installed five new 100kg Washer Extractors, replacing the facility’s aging Continuous Batch Washers (CBW). Masakhane plays a critical role in the healthcare supply chain and this upgrade was designed to meet that responsibility head-on — reducing downtime, clearing backlogs and ensuring reliable, high-volume linen processing for provincial health facilities.

At the heart of this upgrade is a commitment to patient care. Fresh, hygienically processed linen is not a luxury — it’s a necessity. The new machines uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination and ensuring that every patient receives clean bedding, on time, every time.

The result is a laundry operation with greater capacity, improved efficiency, and enhanced service delivery — without compromising on quality.

The site was officially handed over on 5 February 2026.
